Imgur downloader
Download Imgur videos and GIFV clips as MP4 or original GIF files. Paste an imgur.com link and save the content straight to your FileFactory library.
Imgur is the internet's go-to image and video host, used heavily on Reddit and forums. Its GIFV format is actually MP4 video, and this downloader grabs the source file so you get a clean, playable video without Imgur's wrapper.
Paste an imgur.com link pointing to a video post or animated content, pick your format, and the file saves to your library. Useful for saving reaction clips, tutorials, and viral content.
Key takeaway: Copy the imgur.com link, paste it here, and pick MP4 720p. GIFV links from Reddit and forums work directly.
Why use our free Imgur video downloader
GIFV to proper MP4
Imgur's .gifv format is just MP4 in disguise. The downloader gives you the actual MP4 file that plays on any device and media player.
Works with Reddit-shared links
Most Imgur links you find on Reddit work directly. Paste the i.imgur.com or imgur.com URL and the content is fetched.
GIF export available
If you specifically need a GIF file (for forums, messaging apps), select GIF format. Be aware GIF files are much larger than MP4.
No login required on Imgur's end
Public Imgur posts do not require an Imgur account to view, so the fetcher can grab them directly.
How to download Imgur videos for free
Copy the Imgur URL
Copy the imgur.com or i.imgur.com link from your browser, Reddit, or wherever you found it.
Pick a format
MP4 720p for video clips. GIF if you specifically need the animated GIF format for compatibility with older platforms.
Sign in and download
A free FileFactory account unlocks the download. Signup takes about 10 seconds, and the file saves to your library.
Pro tip: If an Imgur link ends in .gifv, it is actually a video. Downloading as MP4 gives you a much smaller file with identical visual quality compared to the original GIF.
