About Comma-Separated Values
Common Use Cases
- Exporting phone contacts to Excel or Google Sheets
- Importing contacts into CRM systems
- Preparing contact lists for mail merge
vCard (.vcf) is the standard format for sharing contact information between phones, email clients, and address books. But when you need to analyze contacts in a spreadsheet, run a mail merge, or bulk-import into a CRM, you need CSV. Converting VCF to CSV flattens your contact data into rows and columns that any spreadsheet or database tool understands.
VCF stores individual contact cards with structured fields (name, phone, email, address). CSV flattens all contacts into a table with one row per person, ready for spreadsheets and databases.
Why Convert VCF to CSV?
Open contacts in Excel or Google Sheets
CSV opens natively in Excel, Google Sheets, Numbers, and LibreOffice Calc. Sort, filter, and analyze your contacts in a familiar spreadsheet interface.
Import into any CRM
Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, and virtually every CRM accepts CSV imports. Convert your VCF contact export and bulk-load it into your sales or marketing tool.
Run mail merge campaigns
CSV is the standard input for mail merge in Word, Google Docs, and email marketing tools. Convert your contacts and personalize letters, labels, and email campaigns.
Back up contacts in a universal format
CSV is readable by every tool and programming language. Backing up your contacts as CSV ensures you can access them regardless of what phone or email client you use.
